Universidad Empresarial (UNEM) is a private, non-profit, non-sectarian educational institution of higher learning which does not discriminate on the basis of age, color, race, religion, national origin, creed, disability, marital status, gender or sexual orientation. In accordance with Costa Rican Ministry of Education regulations, UNEM is operated by a registered Foundation, Fundación Empresarial de Costa Rica.
UNEM offers Spanish language programs in Costa Rica and throughout Latin America, as well as English language programs offered through the Office of International Affairs.

UNEM began its operation in 1992 as the International Post-Graduate School in affiliation with the University of San Jose. In 1997 the International Post-Graduate School began operation as an independent institution and became Universidad Empresarial.

Costa Rica, is located in the Americas, specifically in the central region, known as Central America.

Certainly the public school system of Costa Rican government, established in 1917 has played a leading role in strengthening the high level of culture of Costa Ricans.
But due to the high demand for students who could not be satisfied by the government, there have been several quality private universities.
Among these universities, the University was founded Business Costa Rica.
In 1992, started its work, the international graduate school, then affiliated with the University of San Jose, until 1997, the International Postgraduate School, takes the authorization and accreditation of the Costa Rican government to become the Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica.
Our university is in response to a need, largely unmet, to have a college specializing in preparing individuals capable of creating and being motivated by achievement and innovation.
Accept the challenge to the creative use of knowledge and technology, and can contribute to improving the quality of life in our society.
